As an amateur photographer based in LA County, more specifically, the San Gabriel Valley, my goal is to document and explore the vast urban areas around and in the heart of Los Angeles. My journey into the world of photography has been very brief, however, I do not let my experience deter me from going out and doing what has become my hobby and passion. My plan is to indulge myself in all aspects of photography from portraits, weddings, landscape, architectural and eventually my personal favorite sports photography.
I am a full time student of Cal Poly Pomona University with a part time job. I have always loved and appreciated all forms of art. I’ve explored different areas of art seeking to express my creativity in the form that suits me best. I began with architectural sketches, animation, sneaker designs and eventually led to film photography in my junior year of high school. It wasn’t till my sophomore year (2009) of college that I rediscovered my passion after having the rare opportunity to play with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II in my dining room, I took one shot and had made up my mind, “I WANT THIS CAMERA (any dslr, actually). As of right now, I follow several photographers, of note, L.A. Times Photojournalist Genaro Molina and Professional Photographer Edwin Santiago. I had the incredible opportunity and honor of meeting Genaro after serving with him during none other than jury duty. Edwin happens to be the marketing director of where I work and both continue to give me advice to this day. Thank You. (2009)
Memorable Quote: “If you can’t feel the photo, you’re not close enough. And with that, what am I doing, about to go up in a helicopter and fly over the fire.” -Genaro Molina
